Generally, the biopics about mathematical genii project on the screen the fervent efforts to calculate mind boggling equations. Their ability to do so baffles the live spectators and the audiences around. Srinivasa Ramanujan remains unexplained genii to the present generation. The present day researchers are left dumbfound at the mind-boggling equations solved by Srinivasa Ramanujan. Trying to put all into a biopic is a bit difficult.
Plot:
The movie runs for about 109 minutes and lays stress more on the professor who guided Srinivasa Ramanujan in the course that he took. The movie also highlights the romance between Ramanujan and his wife and lays more stress on the romantic emotions that Ramanujan entertained. To be precise, the story is about the struggle that Ramajunan, as a Tamil guy, had in the foreign soil and his battle with ill-health.

Analysis
There are places where the movie seems to be an overly dramatized version of Ramanujan’s life. Too much of stress is given on the romance rather than the intellectual prodigy that Ramanujan was. In the movie, initially, Professor Hardy does not show any due interest on Ramanujan. But, the truth is that right from the beginning, the professor had been standing besides Ramanujan and supporting him.
