Plot

A mysterious creature/sailor named Robinson Crusoe, the only human survivor in a deadly storm comes to the island, as the animals get to know him they find him a helpful ally particularly Mak, Scrubby, and Carmello.

Star performance

The voice actors did their but it doesn't pan out well, as the film is translated into english the villain voices are a pain to the ears. Nobody’s a standout in this film. The cats will get the hate from their animation to their voice acting. It all falls.

Analysis

The film story is simple, animals living in paradise until one day a human comes and bursts their bubble. The film has taken elements of the novel and has managed to mess that up. First Robinson being the only survivor is highly doubtful as on the island he’s constantly dependent on the animals, it brings out the question how did he managed to escape a deadly storm? The villains the cats (Ship cats) are creepy as they eat rodents then there are moments in the film about them, murder, pregnancy. It just doesn't sound nice for a kid’s film. The voice acting is terrible as the film is translated into English. Even the animation doesn't bring out anything new. The makers made several odd choices regarding the plot, characters, and animation. The film released in 2016 looks like a 90s animated film even though it had way better elements than this. The Wild Life is a confused plot with odd choices.

What's there?

  • It’s a random kid’s film

What's not there?

  • The film has some odd choices in its plot
  • The voice acting is terrible
  • The  film has only added some elements of the celebrated novel

Verdict

The Wild Life can only be seen if you don’t take it seriously. It's a random kid’s film with no message.
