The movie had a sequel titled Red 2 that hit the screens on October 15, 2010. Bruce Willis does the role of a CIA Agent Frank Moses, and he is called the Retired and Extremely Dangerous (RED) which happens to be the movie’s title.
Plot: The plot has been messed up a bit. The movie defies logic, and the director seems particular about making it an action packed movie. The movie scenes in the opening are somewhat palatable. But, as the movie proceeds ahead, it loses its appeal. The movie seems to be a patchwork that amounts to sheer nonsense. The movie does not seem original, and the story bears a strong resemblance to many other usual stories. Another drawback about the movie is that one could predict the next scene as it unfolds. The chemistry between the actors seems to have worked out well. Bruce Willis has shed the image he has been projecting for long. He fits smoothly into the role of a baddie. Freeman does a commendable role, and the story mainly relies on his performance. The four protagonists in the movie make the movie worth the price paid for the movie ticket. Verdict:Â Audiences may enter the theaters fearing another stereotyped action movies, but are taken unawares by an interesting action comedy.
