Hugo is unlike anything Director Martin Scorsese has made yet. Martin justifies his statement of this movie being as one of the most personal in his life and among other projects by showing us the element of magic and its simplistic beauty aims to link us with a deep emotion; love.
The visuals and cinematography of "Hugo" are captivating, and this is one of the few reasons that it works. The movie is set in the world of Melies and weaves together the various aspects of human emotions such as love, comedy, friendship, and bravery. With the sprinkle of magic realism, it forms a great story about technology and the inception of films.

Verdict: It has some amazing moments and some disappointing too, but one can afford to go for it at least once. The movie lacks in expression and diverges from its real motive i.e. Greatness of Melies.
