Plot
Donald Wallace is a teenager from a working-class family. After his father's death, his mother sends him to a well-known British boarding school. But he is unaware of the difficulties he will face in this school. The school has certain mysterious hidden secrets. The suicide of a student, a violent house prefect who is a war criminal, and the disappearances of the students are the strange incidents that happened in this school.                                                                 Â
There is a fracking site near the school where oil and gas are extracted from below the ground. The fracking site is of the headmaster, who uses it to make money. Now, a deep sinkhole appears at this fracking site which creates terrible horror for the school students. Evil monstrous creatures arise from this sinkhole and start attacking the students and staff of this school.Â
Donald Wallace and his team decide to fight with these monsters. Will Wallace and his team be successful in defeating the monsters? What is the story behind these monsters? Does the headmaster of this school have any link with these monsters?
Star Performance
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost gave the best performances. Their acting and dialogue delivery is fantastic, which makes the film entertaining. Finn Cole, who played the role of Donald Wallace, gave a wonderful performance. The way he fights with the evil monsters is mind-blowing. The rest of the cast gave okayish performances.
Analysis
The movie is a combination of horror, action and comedic elements. These elements are successful in making the audience laugh and frightening them. The movie runs slow in the first half making the viewers feel bored. The last thirty minutes are the film's strength. If you stick to the movie till the end, you will find it very enjoyable.
