Cinema Line: Dimension Films

Plot: Group of six friends went into a well-known haunted house in Louisiana. Their priority is to capture ghosts or spirits. In the middle of their task, they got entangled with series of ghost activities. Bryan got possessed and three of their friends were killed onsite. Detective Lewis was asked to check the house as; he was reported hearing suspicious noises. He checked the location and found 3 dead bodies. He also found unconscious John and asked the rest of investigating to keep John close to investigation. Det. Lewis brought Dr. Klein – medical psychologist, to help him make John to give out everything he knows. As they investigate, Bryan and Michelle were missing. Det. Lewis found a piece of evidence from the frozen hard drives, that John is as not innocent, as he is. Det. Lewis hunts down Bryan and search for Michelle’s body and found him in a nearby convenience store and shot him dead after continuous negotiations. They found Bryan’s tongue was cut reason and he cannot speak. Bryan gave hint by holding Det. Lewis’s necklace with crucifix. As Dr. Klein pushes hard to John to give out information, Det. Lewis looked for this inside the house and found boxes with lots of crucifix. He went through walk-in closet and found a small way to get inside a secret room. Det. Lewis found Michelle in an unconscious condition. This gave another vague hint as “same room.” Det. Lewis went back to the secret room and found John’s hanged body. On the other hand Dr. Klein was surprised that, she was talking to a demon, while forcing John to admit that, he’s the mastermind of this blood bath.

At the beginning of the movie, I found it dull; it took them a few minutes to give me interest in watching this. See how the director transformed them in a very compelling hair-raising performance. All of them played tremendously great and believable. Also the creepy house contributed with local haunted legends. The secret room inside that walk-in closet is also creepy. The “Blair Witch Project” style depicted in their captured videos. This is different from the story “Conjuring” or “The Exorcist”, but almost as scary as they were. The series of ghost’s activities with the scary face caught by Jules, the spine-chilling symbol under the carpet, the drawings exploited by John’s character all coincided to a very scary movie. It is a twisted story that exposes John to be the mastermind of all at the end.

I believe that this movie must be rated “4 stars.” James wan as the producer didn’t fail to terrify us with this movie, again. The director Will Canon An American writer, director, and producer, Will C >> Read More... should receive applause for his breakthrough, with this movie. I am glad this movie made me stay until the end of it, for the reason that I know, most of the main casts and I love them. Also the blend of actors and their abilities to transform their selves into these challenging performances were really difficult. It is easy to cry, to do action stunts, to make us laugh, but it is very difficult to make people believe that you’re a very scary actor or somehow believable.
