Ashton Leigh

Leigh Ashton is called as Stanford Howard Leigh Ashton, was born on 11th April 1956 in Manchester, England. He is a South African singer as well as a songwriter, performer and pianist. When ashton was three years old, his whole family shifted to South Africa. He has different skills, which included playing the guitar, playing the piano. He started with his career in the year 1975.

His first song was LOVE ME, which released in November in 1975. In the same year, Ashton performed in a colosseum mighty music machine. In the year 1977, his song TANYA, which became very popular and famous as well. This song even reached on top 2nd position in the SA charts of sales. Ashton later signed a contract with the GRC part of Gallo who is the worldwide CBS.

In the same year 1977, he launched another song day after day. This song has been a super-hit and liked by many people around. It was a self-penned song which was very close to Ashton’s heart.

He also wrote the best pieces for the songs snowflakes in a major, mother, the park hobo, give &take nightmare, the foxtrot doubt in my mind, when you a need a friend, the iceman and keeping it simple.

The best part of his composing or writing is that most of the pieces he wrote which have been meant for not using the whole band in the songs. Ashton is married, and the couple has a son named Chris.

Ashton’s son is a singer and songwriter by profession. His son has been graduated in Bcom honors. Ashton has been very much dedicated to his work. Family and friends had always been his inspiration in every best and possible way. His work has been appreciated by everyone and is expecting to achieve success in his life.
