Plot

Adonis Creed, the winner of the Light Heavyweight boxing championship, had been challenged by Viktor Drago, Ivan Drago’s son. Ivan is the one, who killed Apollo Creed. So, Adonis had been trying to gain enough strength to finish off Viktor. Rocky Balboa is the trainer of Adonis. Besides being a trainer, he is the father like figure for Adonis and supports him in gaining the confidence. What happens in the ring? Did Adonis accomplish his goal? Watch the film in theaters!

Star Performance

As usual, Sylvester has done his best. Jordon has played his part neatly. Florian Munteanu, who plays Viktor has done justice to his role. Although he is a newcomer, he just threatens with his look. Good choice for this role! Tessa Thompson has performed what is needed for her role.

Analysis

The screenplay is a bit lagging as it misses its natural path. Tessa Thompson and Jordon’s scenes didn’t impress the audiences. But, the rest of the film is perfect with the action and emotional sequences. The cinematography, BGM and the editing departments are perfect

What’s There?

Excellent action sequences
Performances of the stars are good, especially Florian
The direction is quite impressive

What’s Not There?

The screenplay should have been a bit gripper

Verdict

The eighth franchise of the Rocky series brings a lot of nostalgic moments for the fans of the series. Although there are some flaws in the screenplay and the characterization, they cover it up with the action sequences. Creed 2 – Watch Worthy!
