However, the fans were disappointed as they couldn’t see their star on his birthday. It was said that Rajini is out of the station on his birthday and hence couldn’t meet them. Rajini issued a statement thanking the people, who wished them through the newspapers, posters, social media posts, phone calls and in person. He stated, “செய்தித்தாள்கள் மூலமாகவும், சுவரொட்டி விளம்பரங்கள் மூலமாகவும், சமூக வலைத்தளங்கள் மூலமாகவும், தொலைபேசி மூலமாகவும், நேரடியாகவும் எனக்கு பிறந்தநாள் வாழ்த்தை தெரிவித்த அனைவருக்கும், என்னை வாழ வைக்கும் தெய்வங்களான ரசிகர்களுக்கும் என் நன்றியை தெரிவித்து கொள்கிறேன்.”
