Sundar fixed Shruti Haasan as the heroine and launched the film at Cannes International Film Festival. Shruti had been getting training for martial arts in London. After a few days from the launch, Shruti said that she quit the film. Later, the team had been searching for the right heroine. A few days back, it was said that Hansika Motwani would play the titular role. Now, it is heard that Hansika’s presence is just a rumor. Now, the team has started searching the heroine seriously. As the Sangamithra role is a dominating and majestic, the team is searching the suitable heroine. “Arya” and Jayam Ravi are playing the lead roles in Sangamithra, which is produced by Thenandal Studio Limited.
