Opposition Parties Choose Meira Kumar As The Presidential Contestant!

The term of the incumbent President, Sri Pranab Mukherjee comes to an end on 25th July. The NDA announced that the Presidential candidate from their side would be Ramnath Kovind, the Governor of Bihar. Earlier, it was reported that one among the BJP people, Sushma Swaraj, Sumitra Mahajan or Murali Manohar Joshi would be chosen as the presidential candidate. But, Amit Shah announced Ramnath Kovind as the presidential candidate. The presidential election will take place on July 17th and the election result will be announced on 20th July. Now the opposition parties announced their presidential candidate and it is none other than Meira Kumar, the former speaker of Lok Sabha. Meira is an advocate and a former diplomat. She had also been the Minister of Social Justice And Empowerment.
