Amit Anilchandra Shah is an Indian politician and Member of Lok Sabha. He was born on 22nd October 1964, in Bombay, Maharashtra. Currently, he is serving as the Ministry of Home Affairs and also served as the President of Bhartiya Janta Party from 2014 to 2020. He completed his studies in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, and joined the family business in an early age. Amit Shah and Narendra Modi played a major role in increasing the seats of BJP not only in Gujarat but also in the country. Shah took oath as Cabinet Minister and office as Minister of Home Affairs on June 1st, 2019. In December 2019, he passed the Citizenship Amendment Act, which grants Indian citizenship. He also raised the concern about immigrants in North-East India.
