is a noted writer and has won much acclaim as a writer. The writer has turned a director through the movie Vizhithiru. His movie was to release shortly but announcement by the producer council has put a hurdle to release of the movie. The Tamil Nadu government has levied entertainment tax on movies and there is strong opposition to the tax. From October 6th new movies would not be released, said the producer council. The movies including Vizhithiru were to be released tomorrow. But now, the announcement has stalled the release of the movies. But theater proprietors have said that the theaters would function as usual The announcement was made by Abhirami Ramanathan. So, there is prevalent confusion regarding release of movies tomorrow.
In a development, director Meera Kathiravan has become highly dissatisfied. The director shared in the Facebook the opinions. I have come to the producer council meet to talk of the financial setback arising out of the flash strike that has been announced. I am unable to recollect the number of times I have come for the purpose. I have not come for chances to direct movies these many times. In cinema, only combined efforts could win. That is also the major weakness. I am getting tired of people who lack morale. For the gambling somebody else is playing they are putting somebody else at stake told the director.
