Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli was last seen in “Richie” with Nivin Pauly and Shraddha Srinath. She is also popular for her short film Lakshmi. Lakshmi Priyaa is interested in playing sports movies. Now, the actress has announced that she has been longing to play the lead role in the life of a cricketer. If Indian women cricket team captain Mithali Raj’s biopic is made, Lakshmi will approach the makers to provide her an opportunity to play in the film. Biopic of the male sports stars like Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Mohammad Azharuddin and Sachin Tendulkar were made and were hits. Similarly, a biopic on Geetha Singh Poghat, “Dangal” and Mary Kom’s biopic on her name were super hits. However, in Tamil, no film had been made with the sports stars. “Aishwarya R Dhanush” has taken the initiative to make a biopic on Maraiyappan Thangavelu, who won the gold in Paralympics.
