Is This The Reason For Ilayaraja – SPB Fight?

“Ilayaraja” and “S P Balasubrahmanyam” were friends for the past 4 decades. Their combination had brought a huge success in the southern film industry. But, their friendship is not doing well for the past few days, as Ilayaraja sent a legal notice to few people including SPB, not to use his compositions for commercial purpose. SPB posted it on his Facebook and many people started targeting Ilayaraja. Later, SPB requested the media not to magnify this issue. The reason for their fight started a couple of years back, says a report. While doing concerts, Ilayaraja has paid SPB, Rs. 7 Lakh. But, during his US concert last year, SPB demanded Rs. 20 Lakhs to Ilayaraja, which he denied. So, SPB quit the Ilayaraja concert. Now, SPB is on a mega world music tour and planned to use the music compositions of Ilayaraja, which the music director has the royalty. So, Ilayaraja claimed the royalty and sent notices not only to SPB but to Chithra and Charan too.
