” directed by “Pa. Ranjith,” is a successful film. The producer of the film, “Kalaipuli S. Thanu” announced that the film collected Rs. 600 Cr. worldwide. Although many of the people down voted the film, the producer announced it as a record-breaking movie. Many of the distributors of “Linga,” who suffered a huge loss started their protest immediately after seeing the box office collection in a few days. But, Kabali was hyped much and hence was sold for a high price. As Kabali’s distributors didn’t protest like Linga distributors, people believed that the collection records are true. But, the real collection amount differs from that of the announcement. Vijaya Theater is one among the biggest theaters in Tanjore. The theater owner invested Rs. 81 Lakhs for Kabali. But, the collection amount is just Rs. 25 Lakhs. Most of the theaters suffered the same. After seeing the response, Thanu had called all the distributors and assured them of compensation.
