Following the firing at Indian Fishermen in Indian coastal limit, a fisherman from Thangachimadam was killed and another one was severely injured. But, the Sri Lankan Navy denied that they didn’t conduct crossfire. However, the Sri Lankan government assured that they would carry out an investigation in this regard. It is also heard that the SL government has regretted the crossfire. Meanwhile, the district collector and the superintendent of police are discussing with the representatives of the Fishermen Association in Thangachimadam, who lost the young fisherman. It is reported that the TN government has provided tight security to all the Sri Lankan organizations in the state. Security is tightened at Sri Lankan Banks, Sri Lankan Embassy and Buddha Vihar in Egmore.
