DMK Lost It To Dhanapal!

On Feb 18th, 2017, Trust Vote on “Edappadi K Palaniswami” was conducted. “O Panneerselvam” team requested for the Secret Ballot. DMK leader “M K Stalin” and his team started protesting against Speaker Dhanapal. In the commotion, the assembly session had been adjourned a couple of times. As Stalin and his team didn’t follow the assembly rules, Dhanapal expelled them out. In the scuffle, Stalin and Dhanapal’s shirts were torn. Today in the assembly meeting, DMK leader Stalin passed a resolution against Dhanapal and in the voting, Stalin got a support of 97 votes, which are against Dhanapal. It is to be noted that OPS team didn’t support Stalin to change the speaker. So, they didn’t downvote Dhanapal. Now, it is announced that Dhanapal wins the confidence motion and he could continue as the speaker. The confidence motion was hosted by the deputy speaker Pollachi Jayaraman.
