The program was held in an auditorium owned by Coimbatore SNR College. When Ameer started speaking, Nandakumar and others from BJP, who were sitting on the viewers' side, used abusive words against Ameer and threatened him. With the police protection, Ameer was safely sent out from the auditorium. Ameer filed a complaint to the DGP stating about the incident.
