He had attended it only the previous time, mentioned Palaniappan. He also stated that Bharathiraja changed the face of Tamil cinema. But, he had never said to treat him as a god, added Palaniappan. It is better not to call him and insult him, said Karu Palaniappan.

Besides this, he asked whether it is a director’s association or an entertainment club. His speech didn’t go well with the members and they started raising their voice against Karu Palaniappan. Earlier last month, Bharthairaja was unanimously elected as the Directors’ Association President. Last week, he resigned the post and asked the administrators to host an election.
