Apart from the Hema committee report controversy, the Malayalam film industry is going through a rough patch for the past few months. After the brilliant headstart, the success ratio of Mollywood has come down quite fast.

With the success of ‘Abraham Ozler’, Mollywood had begun recovering from the rough patch it was undergoing for the past few years. However, this was just the beginning. With back to back blockbusters like ‘Premalu’, ‘Bramayugam’ and ‘Manjummel Boys’, Malayalam cinema soon became a household name throughout the nation.
