The director, who made controversial films based on the assassination of former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi and forest brigand Veerapan, has been gearing up for the release of yet another controversial film on Rajiv Gandhi. His earlier film, “Cyanide” dealt about the suicide killers Sivarasan and Subha. To make the film, Ramesh had travelled to various countries such as Malaysia, Singapore and Sri Lanka, where the people know better about the Liberation Tigers Of Tamil Eelam, who killed Rajiv Gandhi. When Rajiv’s assassination took place, Ramesh was a film institute student. So, he was curious to know how the incident happened. He started collecting the details at that stage itself and the resultant was Cyanide, a hit film. Aaspota is about the unfolded truth on Rajiv’s assassination. It is a Hindi and Kannada bilingual.
