This led ‘Jelena' fans to believe that there might be a flicker of romance blossoming between the two them. According to Entertainment Tonight they (the fans) were left disappointed when 'Justin Bieber' refused to talk to Selena and blatantly ignored her as he passed by her backstage. Though Selena was not present in the crowd during Beiber's performance, she was spotted giving him a standing ovation as he came on stage to receive his award.

A source close to the pair told Hollywood.com that Justin and Selena keep playing mind games with each other and that they find this the best way to handle things because the other alternative is to come clean to each other which they both don’t want.
