Kalyani Trivedi is an Indian television actress, who played as Jugni, in the Balaji Telefilms’ ' Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil' in 2008. She was also seen as Shagunibai, a clairvoyant, In the Indian historical drama series, ' Jodhaa Akbar', which was aired on Zee TV channel. However, in recent news, it was said Zareen Roshan (of ' Kumkum Bhagya') replaced Kalyani due to some issues with the production.

Kalyani also acted as Bhagwati Raghuvanshi on Shashi Sumeet Productions’ ' Sajan Ghar Jaana Hai', which was aired on STAR Plus in 2009. She was replaced by notable actress, Neelima Panjrekar after she had an issue with the production and due to her allegedly rude behavior on the sets.

Kamalika Guha Thakurata is famous for her role as a “Gayatri Chachi” in Ekta Kapoor’s show “Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”. She is basically from Kolkata (City of Joy), there only she indulged herself in dancing and theatre. She also worked as a copy writer for an advertising agency where she happened to meet her future husband for the first time Mr. Ranjish Lall.  Kamalika started her career on the television screen with the serial “Mujhe Chaand Chahiye” in which she played a central role of a girl named “Divya”.  After this, she had joined the workshop of Satybeer Dubey, where she got the offer for “Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi”. She has also worked in Kashti, Kya Haadsa Kya Haqeeqat, Kamal, Manzilen and Babuji. After completing the serial “Mujhe Chaand Chahiye”, she tied knot with Ranjish Lall and got settled in Mumbai. Due to her pregnancy, she had to say good bye to the television and after few months she delivered a baby girl named Khushi. After few years, she gave birth to the second girl child named Reet. She is very much dedicated towards her professional as well as personal life and maintained a proper balance between both.   Another version of this story… Kamalika Guha Thakurta was born as Ruma Ghosh on 21 November 1934 at exactly 00:00. She was born into a Brahmo-Bengali family to Satyen Ghosh (aka Montey Singh) and Sati Devi. Her mother was an immensely talented personality. She was a singer and a musician. To add to that, she was India’s first woman music director who worked with Uday Shankar at Almora, Prithviraj Kapur in Bombay and with Devika Rani in Bombay Talkies. Kamalika’s maternal aunt (Sati Devi’s sister) was married to the great Filmmaker Satyajit Ray.  Kamalika was born in Kolkata but spent her childhood in many places. Her education was carried out in many places, Shanti Niketan being one of them. She went to Loreto followed by Gokhale School and also the Sacred Heart School in Lahore. Kamalika also studied under her mother at the Uday Shankar Cultural Centre in Almora during its formative years. She is professionally trained in music and theater. She began her career as a playback singer back in 1958 for the Bengali movie Lukochori. She has also sung for many Bengali movies like Barnali, Polatak, Baghini, Bakso Badal, etc. Kamalika set up the Calcutta Youth Choir in the year 1958 with Salil Chowdhury and Satyajit Ray. Kalpana’s acting career began in the year 1944 with the Bengali movie Jowar Bhante. Later on, she acted in many more Bengali and Hindi movies. She has also acted in The Namesake, where she played Irrfan Khan’s mother. Kamalika married the legendary Kishore Kumar in May 1952 in Mumbai and gave birth to a son named Amit Kumar, the following year. Unfortunately, the couple divorced in 1958. She then settled in Kolkata and married Arup Guha Thakur. The couple has two children Atan and Sromana.  Kamalika will always be remembered for the role of Gayatri Chachi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Currently, she is doing a stint as Guru Maa in Colors “Naagin”.
