Karthik Rodriguez

Karthik Rodriguez is a well-known singer and music composer in Tollywood music circle. The singer cum music composer has several hit songs to his credit.

Born on January 3 in Kadapa, Andhra Pradesh, Karthik hails from a family of five, including his father, mother, and an elder sister and brother. Karthik’s parents supported him in learning music, and he gained the basic knowledge of music from his parents. He completed his schooling from St. Joseph High School and moved to Bangalore for his engineering. After two years, he realized engineering is not his cup of tea and decided to pursue a career in music. So Karthik discontinued his engineering and returned to Kadapa.

Karthik, with the support of his family, entered the music world through the reality-based Telugu singing show, Padutha Theeyaga, in 2010. With no prior training, he participated in the show and made it to the semi-final but got eliminated shortly. So he underwent formal music training and moved to Chennai. In 2011, he got enrolled in A.R.Rahman’s KM Music Conservatory’s foundation course in western classical vocals. After a year, he returned to Hyderabad and composed music for short films.

He gained popularity as the songs in the web series became an instant hit. In the same year, he got an opportunity to compose music for the thriller movie Antham. In 2017, Karthik worked on the mini Television series, Nenu Mee Kalyan. He was hugely appreciated for his work in the series. Karthik Rodriguez has also worked on a range of short film and music videos including, Kalakaarudu, Hey Aasha, Disthi, and Anaganaga Oka Nanna.
