Fatafat Jayalakshmi is the popular screen name of Jayalakshmi Reddy, who is predominantly a Telugu actress. She was also renowned in Tamil film industry. She was known by the name Supriya in Malayalam films. Born in 1958, she hails from Andhra Pradesh. The year 1972 saw her being introduced in a Malayalam movie Theerthayatra. Later she acted in another Malayalam film. K Balachander introduced her into Tamil cinema with the film 'Aval Oru ThodarkathaI'. The film was a huge hit and Jayalakshmi became a name to reckon with through her dialogue “Fatafat”.
