Plot:

The film is based in a village where the protagonist, Jayathi Gaddam, plays the role of an exorcist. The story explains how she takes care of the unusual problems that have been taking place in the village.

Analysis:

Lacchi, a Telugu movie, is a complete package of drama, comedy, and thriller. Lacchi is entirely shot in a small village near Tirupathi. The crux of the film is about how Jayathi Gaddam who plays an exorcist, solves the unusual problems of the village. In the film, the villagers secretly keep getting killed one after the other. Jayathi when discovers this, she decides to decode the mystery and heads to the village. Although the subject of the movie is quite intense, it is narrated in a drama and comic sequence. It also has an element of thriller, and the big suspense to maintain the flow of the audience.

When she goes to the village and investigates the matter, she comes across various dark secrets that prevail in the village. In her journey, to know the truth behind the massacre leads her to various problems. But like every protagonist, she comes out as a victorious person and finally finds the truth behind the mysterious killings. In the second half, some of the sequences were not that overwhelming, and there are certain scenes which were not required. At some point, the audience may also feel that the plot is lacking basic logic.

Star performance:

Jayathi Gaddam is the main lead of the movie. She is a well-known actress in the industry. Although the movie was not a super hit, her performance in the film was praised. The performance of the supporting cast is average except for the comedy sequence.

What’s there?

The good point about the movie is that the horror element is introduced at the right time without any time wastage.
The comedy element is a major highlight of the film.
Suresh Yuvan’s music was also praised by the audience.

What’s not there?

As we all know, to make the audience scared, the director and the producer should not unnecessarily insert horror sequences.
But unfortunately, too much horror effect has been added in repetition, which may not even scare you at some point.
The pre-climax scene may also appear a little over the top.
The visuals and the background score of the film were okay.

Verdict:

The budget of the film was 3 Cr, and the total box office collection is 2.1 Cr. The figures clearly indicate that the film did not perform well at the box office. The director Eswar had prepared a decent script, but the way he narrated the proceedings did not go down well with the audience.
