V.V Vinayak, who was born as Gandrothu Veera Venkata Vinayak, is a screenwriter and a movie director who works predominantly in the Telugu film industry. He made his debut in 2002 with the melodrama action film Aadi which was an enormous success and collected about 200 million Rs. The film stars NTR Jr. and garnered positive reviews from all.
Vinayak has also been a recipient of the prestigious State Nandi Award for Best Director. In the year 2003, he made two hugely successful movies, Dil (which was remade in Tamil, Oriya , and Kannada) and Tagore (remake of superhit Tamil film Ramana). Both of these had the superstar Chiranjeevi. V.V Vinayak also helmed direction for a short film for reaching the cause of organ donation.Â
