Vidyadhar Kagita

Vidyadhar Kagita is an Indian film director and screenwriter, mainly works in the Telugu cinema. He is generally known for the Film Gaami, released in 2024. He was born on July 16, 1993 and spent his childhood in Bhimavaram. He attended St. Marks High School for his starting education in Secunderabad. He also studied in Sri Kakatiya Merit School Bhimavaram before he moved to Hyderabad. His mother, Kagita Padma, was a homemaker, and his father Kagita Srinivas Rao was an educator in the private sector. After moving to Hyderabad, Vidhyadhar pursued Mechanical Engineering at Malla Reddy Engineering College and completed his graduation in 2014. Vidhyadhar is a passionate director and screenwriter. He worked in Vidhyadh Productions.

Before his famous film Gaami, he produced two short films: Vaitharani and Vara with Karthik Sabareesh Karthik is a producer who works in the Telugu film >> Read More... as a producer. In an interview, the filmmaker talks about the unprecedented time he spent: nine years in planning and five years in making and it provided fabulous results at the box office. In an interview with The Hindu, he said that by working on the script, he realized the importance of catering to a large audience and wanted to do something new within the criteria of mainstream of cinema.
