Ramana Reddy

Ramana Reddy was a comedy actor in the Telugu film industry. He was born in the year 1921 in Jagadevi Peta in Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh. His real name was Thikkavarapu Venkata Ramana Reddy. He worked in the Telugu film industry during the 50s and 60s. He was well recognized by the Andhra people for his good timing comedy and the body language. His thin body which was very flexible to do all sorts of comic actions attracted the people and hence Ramana Reddy used it and got appreciation from the audience.

T. Subbarami Reddy is the niece of Ramana Reddy. Subbarami is the popular film producer, industrialist as well as a political person. Subbarami has got the National Award for producing the best film, Bhagavad Gita in Sanskrit. Ramana Reddy was introduced to the Telugu industry through the film, Deeksha. Manavathi was the film which brought him a good name and fame. Actually, his first movie was Manavathi and due to the late release of Manavathi, Deeksha became his debut movie.
