After completing her under graduation course in her hometown, Diya shifted her base to Chennai. She did her post graduation in Chennai and had been searching for TV anchor jobs. She got an opportunity to host the live shows in Sun Music. Almost all the Sun Music audiences know Diya. She had been appreciated for her compering style in programs like Call Mela Kasu and Krazy Kanmani in Sun Music. 

Diya’s childhood was awesome. Unlike other kids, she had been working from her childhood. When she did her schooling in Kerala, she had been hosting TV shows in Malayalam channels. Diya has a huge fan base in Tamilnadu and abroad. The program Krazy Kanmani helped her to reach popularity. In this program, she visits a lot of places in Chennai and provides the details and importance of those locations. As the show is loved by many audiences, people call her Kanmani and not by her original name.

Their wedding took place in Chennai as a grand event. Almost all the Sun TV VJs and news anchors were present at her marriage. Diya has been hosting the shows, even after her marriage. Now, Diya is shunting between Chennai and Singapore. On seeing her cute look and slim physique, she had been offered with a lot of film offers in Tamil film industry. But, Diya, who loves her profession, didn’t accept those film offers and has been enjoying her present career as a VJ.
