Divya Padmini is also known as Divya Viswanath. She is an actress working in bilingual movies, Tamil and Malayalam. From Kattappana in Idukki district of Kerala, she started her acting journey way back in college. She is both a small screen as well as big screen actress.

Her big screen started off with Malayalam movie Chandranilekkoru Vazhi in the year 2006, directed by Biju Varkey, where she plays the role of a village girl Indira in the movie. Followed by Indrajith in 2007, she is cast opposite Kalabhavan Mani in the movie. The year 2011 saw her in Puli Vesham in Tamil, which was her first movie, directed by P.Vasu. In this movie, she essays the role of Ashwini. With this movie came her new name of Divya Padmini, adding her mother’s maiden name. She did another Tamil film by name Ayyan in the same year 2011 opposite Vasan Karthik. She plays the role of Selvi in this movie. Divya acted in Kasethan Kadavulada in Tamil, a comedy movie as Mamatha. “Husbands in Goa” was her Malayalam movie in 2012. Her role of Rita in this comedy genre movie was declared a hit at the box – office.

Having had her fair share on the big screen, Divya has acted in a lot of sitcoms too. Manapporutham was the serial she acted in; Ammathottil on Asianet T.V. On Surya T.V, Divya was seen in Velankani Mathavu. Also seen in Tamil sitcoms, she has acted in Tharkappu Kalai Theeratha on Sun T.V. She was seen in Pillai Nila on Sun T.V., portraying the role of Hema, second female protagonist in the tele serial. Her next tele serial was in Malayalam called Sthreedhanam as Divya on Asianet.

Divya is married to Ratish, who is an art director and the couple are now settled in Mumbai.

Divya Padmini is a Tamil and Malayalam actress. She was born as Divya Padmini in Kattappana, Iduki District, to Vishwanath and Padmini Vishwanath. She was a Malayalai, but she is not very good in speaking the Malayalam language. She was married to a Mumbai Art Designer, Ratish in 2012. Aside from being a television actress, Divya also did some Malayalam and Tamil films, and also some ad films. She did an ad for Parthas Textile. She loves to read and travel, and completely different from the roles she was in. Divya is very modern, bold and smart.

Divya started acting when she was in college. She was chosen to play the main character in the tele-films that she was doing on her graduation at the NSS College in Changanacherry. The title of the tele-film is Anakha under the production of the theatre club in her school. Anakha was broadcasted on Asianet channel in 2006. Phantom director, Biju Varkey, noticed Divya and she was requested to appear as Indira, a village girl in a non-commercial film, Chandranilekkulla Vazhi.  Then in 2007, she was also part of the film, Indrajith.

She was debuted in the Tamil film, Puli Vesham after director P. Vasu spotted her in her recent film. That is the time when she was asked to change her name to Divya Padmini and use her mother’s maiden name. She started to be seen in few Tamil movies like the Tamil drama film, Ayyan in 2011 as Selvi and Vilaiyaada Vaa as Divya in 2012. She also played the role of Mamtha in the comedy film, Kasethan Kadavulada in 2011 and as Rita in the Malayalam comedy film, Husbands in Goa.

She was debuted as a television serial in Manapporutham, followed by Ammathottil and Sun TV’s Tharkappu Kalai Theeratha. She also appeared as Hema on Pillai Nila and was nominated for Best Jodi Award in Sun Kudumbam Awards in 2012. She got her fame on Asianet TV’s Sthreedhanam. She played the role of Divya who was married to Prashanth. But his mom was very cruel and she doesn’t like Divya. She suffered just to live with her husband. Most of Divya Padmini’s films were a flop, but she started to get noticed because of her performance in this serial. She also got the Best Actress Award in the Asianet Television Awards in 2013 and Most Popular Actress in 2014. She was also seen in the TV serial, Kayitham as Parvathy.

Anuradha Krishnamoorthy is an Indian Carnatic singer turned actress. She did various roles in many Tamil films and television serials. Anuradha is the daughter of “Sangeetha Kalanidhi” Prof K.V.Narayana Swamy and Smt. Padma Narayanaswamy. She was a good singer and her family noticed her singing skills when she was just three years old. Anuradha and her father belong to Thyagaraja, a group of Carnatic music trinity composers. She grew up in an atmosphere of musicians, and her official tutelage started when she was 11 years old. Anuradha is the 8th generation musician in her family after her father K.V. Narayanaswamy. She was married to Suresh Krishnamurthi, a businessman based in Chennai. She first learned music from her mother and subsequently, an advanced lesson from K.V. Narayanaswamy. She was also a scholar of FORD Foundation. She was instructed by Sangeetha Kalanidhi Dr. T. Viswanathan and Smt. T. Brinda. She also had a short guidance from Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer and the renowned Bharatha Rathna M.S Subbulakshmi. She is now under the tutelage of her mother and Radha Vishwanathan. She has received many awards for her singing skills and was even invited to perform at Brussels on August 15, 1999, by the Government of India. She also started a Carnatic music talent promotion Programme called “Ragam Sangeetham” which aired on Raj TV. She has travelled almost all over the world including United States of America, Brazil, Canada, Dubai, Scotland, Belgium, Australia, New Zealand, etc. She has several awards to her credit like, Best Junior Vocalist 1991 by “Narada Gana Sabha” Chennai. She also won D.K.Pattammal Award (1997 & 1999) by Music Academy, Chennai, Valarum Kalaignar Award 1998 by Tamil Isai Sangam Madurai, Yuva Kala Bharathi Award 1999 by Bharat Kalachar, Best Raga Alapana Award 1998 by the Indian Fine Arts Society, Best Vocalist award from Sri Krishna Gana Sabha Chennai, ‘A’ grade artist in All India Radio Chennai and the national television network Doordarshan Chennai’s “Yuva Kala Bharathi” Award, and Papanasam Sivan Centenary Award, Chennai. Anuradha is also a famous actress. She acted in various Tamil television serials and films. She played Sindhu in the second part of K. Balachander’s serial, Sahana – Sindhu Bhairavi on Jaya TV in 2002. She was first hesitant to accept the role since she never acted on any shows before, but her husband encouraged her to meet the director first and then take a final call. After that K. Balachander invited her again to perform under his direction in Naan Aval Illai on Kalaignar TV, followed by the telefilms, Nee Perena Prema under the production of Kavithalaya on ETV channel, written by K. Balachander. Then she did some popular television shows like the Tamil serials, Velaku Vetcha Nerathile on Kalaignar TV and Athipookal on Sun TV. Anuradha played the role of Sarojini Vishwanathan in the Tamil teleserial, Arase, a continuation of the TV series, Selvi on Sun TV. She was honored with many different awards for her outstanding performance in this serial. She received the “Best Character Actress Award” in the Mylapore Academy, “Best Actress” in the Film Fans Association Awards, “Best Character Actress Award” in the Tamil Nadu State Film Awards and the Chinnathirai Awards. She was also part of the tTeleserial, Navavelli along with actress, Simran on Jaya TV and in Thiruppavai under the production of Abinaya Creations which was aired on Sun TV. Anuradha was also invited to be a jury member in various reality shows like RagamSangeetham on Raj TV, Raga Rathanam Junior 2 on Amrita TV, Ragam Thanam Pallavi on Captain TV and Jaya TV’s, Ponds IUn Vasam Yen En Nesam. Anuradha also acted in the Tamil film, Amirtham together with alongside Girish Karnad. She has also acted in K. Balachander’s 101st Telugu film, titled “Poi” in 2006 where she played the role of Vasukiin 2006.
