Roshan Jamrock, born
, is a music artist and singer who takes interest in a wide variety of genres of music. His interests lie in folk, classical, rock ‘n’ roll, dance, hip-hop, reggae, heavy metal and jazz. Born in Saudi Arabia, Roshan grew up to take an active interest in music and practised it right from his younger days. In recent years, Roshan has been a popular name known for the soundtracks of a number of Indian films, especially in the Tamil film industry. Roshan has been a part of a band known as K- Town Clan, which was derived from 'Kajang' Town Clan, for more than fifteen years. His bandmates and he create music mainly belonging to the Hip-hop genre and have a number of albums to their credit.
But Roshan's work is not just about his band performances or productions. His solo album, Rocksteady, which was released digitally, did well and earned him a lot of appreciation. His other albums include Kaali (Telugu), 43Thousand, Saravedi Mass Hits and The Swag Mix. He has also produced a number of hit singles on national radio and made it to the top 50 in an international competition organised by Timbaland. Roshan personally likes to make and play music of a wide variety, and does not mind singing romantic songs as well as party tracks.
A milestone in Roshan's career came when he was chosen to sing and produce music for South Indian icon Rajinikanth's Kabali. Roshan's work in the film included two songs which were 'Ulagam Oruvanukka' (Recreation Of The World) and 'Veera Thurandhara' (Unleash The Beast). Roshan, along with his K-Town Clan, has also performed at more than a hundred shows at numerous places including South Korea and the Philippines, and been selected champions. This talented musician aims to continue creating great music and meet the acclaimed music composer A. R. Rahman one day, and also be a part of the US music industry.
