Dr Burn

Dr. Burn is a famous singer, rapper, lyricist, hip-hop artist, record producer, and founder of the record label company Sollisai Records. He is known for his work in films like Kuruvi (2008), Aadhavan (2009), Bale Pandiya (2010),  Naduvan (2012), Kalakalappu (2012) and Sakka Podu Podu Raja (2017). He is also known for some originals like Magarantham (2020), Mazhai (2021), Love Blind, Oh Nenje and many more. Born as Ruban Manoharan and based out of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Dr. Burn is known for his racy and punchy raps using the Tamil language. Because of his unique talent for Tamil rapping, he is known as Sollisai Thalaivan.

Dr. Burn started his music career in 1997 and created his first album titled Dr. Burn. After some years, he joined a well-known record label, Alai Osai, in Malaysia and learnt about audio engineering techniques. Subsequently, Dr. Burn met another famous rapper Yogi B Yogi B is an Indian playback singer, popular among >> Read More... , and decided to do a Tamil rap album. They later joined hands with another musician, Emcee Jesz Emcee Jesz is his stage name; his original name is >> Read More... , and formed the band,Yogi B & Natchatra.  Their first album together was released in 2005 and became an instantaneous hit worldwide. They further became famous when they performed in the Star Vijay Awards.

Dr. Burn track of Oh Nenje increased his opportunities in the Tamil film industry and he went on to work in various feature films like Aadhavan, Kuruvi, Kalakalappu, and many more. Some of his originals have a considerable fan base from all over the world, and he has also released a few albums, collaborating with other artists. His music and rapping techniques have made Tamil-one of the ancient languages, reach even modernized society.
