RajanSomasundaram, popularly known as Composer Raja, is an Indian composer, drummer, music producer, and violinist. He was born in Thiruvar, Tamil Nadu. He is based in New York City. Rajan rose to fame after making Svadhya, a Carnatic raga, in 2017. In 2018, he released the first musical for the Sanskrit Advaita classical literature. He has also made jingles for commercial companies and several documentaries, the most notable of which is 'Welcome to North Carolina.' Rajan's composing skills were exhibited when he composed a theme song for the 10th World Tamil Conference in Chicago. In January 2020, he released his first music album, Sandham- Symphony Meets Classical Tamil, based on ancient Tamil Sangam poetry with many international artists like Durham Symphony.
