K. R. Savitri is a homebound actress. Savithri had started her career with a Malayali movie which helped her enter the Malayalam Film Industry in a first go. Savithri’s birthplace is Thiruthani. Savitri's mother is from Kerela whereas father is from Andhra Pradesh. Her parents have always been in her support. She always had their consent in whatever she had done . Savithri is one of the most promising actresses in the Malayalam and Tamil Film Industry. K.R Vijaya and K.R Vatsala, the famous actresses of the south film industry are her sisters. Savithri is married and has two daughters named Raghusudha and Anusha. Both her daughters have chosen  acting as their careers. She is presently staying in Chennai with her family.

She made her debut in the film Rakhta Pushpam in the year 1970. Her performance was appreciated by the film critics. After that, she was also seen in many films like Yaathra and Shaantham Bheekaram in the year 1985, Padayani and Desatanakkili Karayarilla in the year 1986. Her films were a hit on the box office. She was seen in many films after that.

This opened the gates of the Tamil Film Industry for her. She was also seen in many of the Tamil movies like Thalattu Padova, being her debut in the year 1990. In the very year, another movie named Salem Vishnu had hit the silver screen because of her first movie had gathered a lot of audiences. She also went for a television series named the Thendral. This soft, calm and realistic actress of the 60s and 70s was predominantly known for her supporting roles. Kamala Kamesh, has over 400 movies to her credit, including Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. She is married to Kamesh, a noted musician for plays. In fact he was very busy during his times. His music had a unique beauty. When Kamala Kamesh entered cinema she didn’t know anything about it. It was Robert Rajasekhar who insisted her to enter into film industry. During the first day of the shooting she didn’t know what to do and also didn’t know ABCs of cinema. The director had also told her that he will change her if the shots are not ok. After the shots were over nobody said anything and hence Kamala happily got into the car. But the director called her again and told that her shots were ok at a single shot. Born on 1961, Kamala credits director Visu for her entry into plays. Kamala reveals that her experience in plays is indeed a happy one. Her film “Samsaram Adhu Minsaram” in which she worked as the wife of Visu, is still aired in many television channels. Her role was also much appreciated. Some of the films in which this docile mom onscreen acted includes Manal Kayiru, Chinna Gounder, Pulan Visaranai, Vishwa Thulasi, Kadalora Kavithaigal, Asthikal Pookkunnu, Veendum Lisa, Alaigal Oivathillai, Rugma, Amrutham Gamaya, Avan Ananthapadmanabhan etc. After her grandchild was born Kamala was busy and hence didn’t act for some time. Her daughter is the noted actress Uma Riyaz Khan and her son-in-law is the Malayalam and Tamil actor Riyaz Khan. Kamala is affected with blurred vision. She used to imbibe the lines correctly and dictate them with voice modulation. The vision problem was not a hindrance in her acting, as she herself confesses.
