Aandal Priyadharshini

Andal Priyadarshini is a multi-talented personality, known for her contributions to Tamil literature and cinema. She was born in Tamil Nadu, India in the year 1962. Andal is a renowned short story writer, lyricist, poet, and novelist. Andal completed her education at Chennai Sri Sarada Vidhyalaya School. She was a bright student, and her academic achievements were acknowledged when she received the Best Former Student Award from the same institution. Andal's literary works have been widely appreciated by the Tamil audience. Some of her notable literary works include Suruthi Pisakatha Veenai, Mudhal Oliparappu Aarambam, Vidivai Thedi, and Pudhiya Thiruppavai. Her contributions to Tamil cinema are also significant.

She has penned the lyrics for several Tamil film songs, including Ishtam Pole and Badham Pazham Pondra from Ayudha Porattam (2011) and Idhuthane Engal Veedu from Nellai Santhippu (2012).
