Editor Gowtham

Gowtham is an Indian film editor who works mainly in the Tamil film industry. He is best known for his editing works in movies such as Meendum Oru Kadhal Kadhai (2016), Velaikkaran (2017), and Nenorakam (2017). Gowtham was part of the editing team in all these movies.

Gowtham was born and brought up in Gobichettipalayam, Tamil Nadu. He holds a degree in Bachelor of Computer Application from Gobi Arts and Science College. Gowtham did a double master's degree. He completed M.sc visual communication at SRM University and MBA in Human Resources at Bharathiar University in 2011. After graduating, he joined McKinsey & Company as a Business Presentation specialist. Gowtham worked for a year and decided to pursue a career in film editing.

Since 2012, he has been a freelance editor in Chennai, India. Gowtham won Best editor award at Balumahendra Awards for the short film Destinesia. He has worked in music videos such as Unnale Unnale, Adiye song in the movie Glassmates. Gowtham has written a blog about the video editing process of the song ‘Unnale Unnale’ in the Avid forum. He has recently worked in a short film titled Micheal, directed by Arun Narain.
