He was primarily active in the 90s and early 2000s. Sekhar has made immense contribution to the popularity of family drama films and TV shows. He always puts a personal touch in his films which are loved by the viewers, especially the middle-class audiences. V Sekhar usually uses mediocre backdrops in his movies, and mostly portrays middle-class households through his films. He doesn’t usually give up until the actors get all the expressions right and portray the character they’re assigned as he wants them too. Usually, his films have a chunk of comic relief, the right amount of emotions, and the screenplay has a social message woven into it. His movies are known to have the right amount of sentiment intertwined with the perfect amount of comedy.

He has also worked with known comedian actors such as Vivek, Vadivelu, and Goundamani. His latest venture was the 2014 film ‘Saravana Poigai’, a love story with a village backdrop, which stars actress Arundhati, and V Sekhar’s son Karl Marx Bio coming soon... >> Read More... in the lead role.
