as the lead actor. Kannan was very close to Sivaji Ganesan, and he acted in almost all the films of the actor. Sivaji’s debut film, Parasakthi, had him in an important role. He also acted in Thangamalai Ragasiyam, Sumathi En Sundari, Veerapandiya Kattabomman, and Ponoonjal, Sivaji’s movies. SA Kannan directed Sivaji Ganesan’s movies, Sathyam, Geetha Oru Shenbagapoo, and Thanikudithanam.
SA Kannan started a drama company named Sivaji Nadaga Mandram along with Nambirajan. Kannan accompanied Sivaji Ganesan for nearly five decades. Kannan died in 2011 due to a heart attack.
