P N Ramchandar Rao is an Indian director and screenwriter who worked in Telugu, Kannada and Tamil movies. He was born in Chadalavada, Tenali Taluk, Gundur district and brought up in Parlapalli Village, Nellore dist. He shifted his base to Chennai to enter into the cinema industry. In 1973, The South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce's Film Institute in Chennai announced the admissions for the acting course and PNR, who was only 18, went to Chennai to join the course.
