A Sargunam is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer who works in the Tamil cinema. He was born on 4th April 1975 in Ambalapattu of Thanjavur district, Tamil Nadu. Sargunam made his directorial and writing debut in the romantic comedy Kalavani (2009). Kalavani became a sleeper hit and won second prize at Tamil Nadu State Best Film Award. His following film,

established a new production firm called "A Sarkunam Cinemaz". Manjapai was the first film produced by A Sarkunam Cinemaz in 2014. Sargunam produced Chandi Veeran in 2015, Dora in 2017, Kalavani 2 in 2019 and Pattathu Arasan in 2022. His next Tamil film "Enga Pattan Sothu" is set to be released in October 2024.
