Viraj Singh Gohil is a cinematographer, born in Chennai. He has been working in the film industry for more than eighteen years. Viraj did not go to film school for learning cinematographic skills instead worked as an assistant for DOPs like Ravi K Chandran. His role as an assistant helped him learn about cinematography. In 2009, his independent film, 'Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye’ was released. The film was a Hindi language romantic drama film, directed by Madhureeta Anand with Randeep Hooda, Raima Sen and Arbaaz Khan as the star cast.
Apart from film, Viraj Singh has also worked in various documentaries and tv series like Ask the Sexpert, Silent Snow, Office Tigers, SKODA Sonic Roots, Navarasa and Pavan and Pooja. Viraj's cinematographic skills worked as an icing on the cake in Amazon Prime's music travel show, Harmony. Harmony is a music travel show hosted by A.R. Rahman. The series consists of a total of four episodes with A.R. Rahman travelling to different parts of the country India to explore new and rare musical forms. The series combined visuals, travel and music.
