Prabhu is a cinematographer, photographer cum indie filmmaker. He completed his graduation from Loyola College, Chennai. He holds a diploma in visual communication from Soft View Multimedia College. He also learned filmmaking from the Asian Academy of Film & Television. He is a PG diploma holder in Film & Television Technology. He also worked in Doordarshan as an intern and learned about television, radio and broadcasting management. In 2022, Prabhu debuted in the film industry as an independent cinematographer and cranked the camera for Meendum Vaa Arugil Vaa, directed by Jaya Rajendra Cholan. “Arav” and Santosh Prathap were cast in the lead roles. Besides working for various channels, NS Prabhu runs a YouTube channel, Prabhu Doc Studio, where he creates informative videos. He makes documentaries, biography stories, and history-related content.
