GP Krishna is a well-known cinematographer who has chosen to share his experience and knowledge with everyone. He is a part of a film institute in Chennai named Muybridge. GP Krishna is a physics graduate who has later learned cinematography to start a new professional life. He has completed his course at the Government institute of film technology, Chennai.
His first movie as a cinematographer was Vaa Indha Pakkam, which helped him earn respect and prominence. Later he gained National awards for his work in Nayagan and Apoorva Sagodharargal. His life changed when he worked with K.Rajeshwar in the movie Nyaya Tharasu.
GP Krishna has received a National Award for his documentary on the late Chief Minister of Tamilnadu C.N.Annadurai, named Anna Vazhugirar. His shots on Ajanta and Ellora Caves and the Life of Buddha have helped the travelers. Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation has taken full advantage of such a masterpiece artwork. Nonetheless, this immense, hardworking, dedicated person never failed to inspire the young generation with his perception, experience, and originality.
