Achyutanand Dwivedi

Achyutanand Dwivedi is a filmmaker, director, executive producer, and cinematographer based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He has studied Bachelor’s in Business Management in Advertising at the University of Mumbai. He started his career in 2006 as an Assistant Producer at Miditech. Then, he worked as an Associate producer for Face Entertainment. In 2007, he started working as a freelance director for various commercials and advertisements.

In 2007, he got engaged with Network 18 and worked as a director for two years to create award-winning promos for CNN-IBN, CNBC, and IBN7. In 2010, he co-founded White Balance, which was established to create high-quality work. It works with the leading organizations to produce TVCs, Promos, and Virals. The White Balance team is also working on some amazing ideas for shorts and docus. After that, he was associated with Commonwealth as an associate film director.

He was responsible for co-heading the production for Commonwealth (a McCann World Group company) in APAC exclusively for Chevrolet. He became the executive producer at DDB Mudra Communications in 2013. Since December 2014, Dwivedi has been working as a freelance cinematographer in Mumbai. Achyutanand has also won several awards for his hard work. In 2009, he won a Mofilm contest at the Cannes Lions for a Vodafone commercial.

In 2016, he won the Cannes Lions for a 90-second film ‘Internal Fight.’ For a documentary, ‘It’s Not About the Cycle,’ he won the Best Adventure Film at the Toronto Beaches Film Festival. He also got third place at the Cannes Film Festival in the Talents section for his first Vertical film ‘Seed Mother’ in 2019. Similarly, in 2021, he was the winner of the National Award for ‘Knock Knock Knock’ in the Non-Feature Film category as a Cinematographer. Achyutanand has also directed and produced a music video for an online competition hosted by ‘The Panics,’ which is an Australian Indie Rock band.

Its official music video was recorded for their single ‘Lonely Road’ and the film won the first prize. He has also been a part of various renowned organizations in the Media and Entertainment industry, such as Sony Entertainment Television (Indian Idol), DDB Mudra Communications, McCann Commonwealth, News18 Networks, etc. Achyutanand is an artist with an immense love for painting. His works have been exhibited in several art galleries in New Delhi. Dwivedi also loves to explore the expanses of digital art.

Similarly, as a cinematographer, his other hobby is photography, which nurtures his love for light and color. He also loves to enjoy cross-country driving and long-distance riding, which keeps the explorer in him alive. Although technology has taken over all aspects of human life, but through his exploration of films, art, and photography, he wishes to approximate the wonder of naturally feeling and watching everything.
