Philip Raj Sundar is an Indian Cinematographer. He hails from Chennai and predominantly works in the Tamil Film Industry. Philip has also played important roles in the movie like looking after the Camera and Electrical Department in movies, the most famous of which being ‘Billa-2’. Billa 2, released in 2012, is the story of a petty smuggler named David.

He comes across and befriends a gangster from Goa name Abbasi. Their friendship continues to grow until David meets an International gangster. This results in the friendship to turn into a bitter rivalry and a game of power begins. Philip, along with Venkat M., was responsible for the cinematography of the film KO-2.

The movie was released in 2016 and a sequel to ‘KO’, a successful movie from 2011. ‘KO-2’ has also been released in Hindi and English by the name of ‘Political Khiladi’ and ‘King-2’ respectively. It is a political-thriller which begins with the kidnapping of a chief minister. The Home minister appoints an Inspector to look into the matter.

But the motive of the kidnapper behind kidnapping changes the dynamics of the movie. It holds the attention of the audience from the beginning to the end. A Kumaran is a cinematographer by profession in the Indian film industry. He works predominantly into the Tamil film industry. He was born in Chennai which is in Tamil Nadu, India. He completed his schooling from St. Johns Higher Secondary School in Tamil Nadu. He pursued the degree of B. Tech. in the field of Information Technology from the college named SreeSastha Institute of Engineering and Technology. During the early stages of his career, he started working with a cinematographer named Vaidhy. He worked at the post of an assistant cinematographer in many Tamil movies as well as in several Malayalam and Kannada films. Some of his films as an assistant cinematographer include Maruthamalai of 2007, Kacheri Arambam of 2011, and Vaadamalli of 2011. Later, he made his debut as a director of photography into the South Indian cinema with the film titled “ChaddiDosth” of 2013. After that, he worked in ThangaMagan, Arjuna, and Rajahmundry Ki 50 KM Duram Loo of 2015, and Enga Amma Rani of 2017. In the film “ChaddiDosth,” he worked with the director PC Shekhar and the music director plus screenplay writer Arjun Janya. It was a comedy film that released into the Indian cinemas on 29 November 2013. It portrayed the story of a man named Ranganna who is a mechanic from a place called Rampura. The film received mostly good reviews from its audience and critics thus; it was a good starter for his career. In the movie “ThangaMagan,” he worked with the director plus writer Velraj and the producer G. N. AnbuChezhiyan. The main stars of the film were Dhanush, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, and Amy Jackson. The music was given by Anirudh Ravichander, and the editor was M. V. Rajesh Kumar. It fell under the category of a family drama with a good level of action and released into the Indian theatres on 18 December 2015 under the banner of the production company called Gopuram Films. It received good reviews from the audience and critics so; it was a good kick for his career. In “Arjuna” movie, he worked with the director P. C. Shekhar and the producers K. Muthuraj and P. Ramesh. He also worked with the stars Prajwal Devaraj, Bhama, and Devaraj. It was a Kannada drama that released into the theatres in August 2015 under the banner of the production company named Arya Creations and received good response from its audience.
