Ravinder Reddy is a very popular and renowned art director of Tollywood who is always in demand for his skills, born in Nellore, AndhraPradesh he did his bachelor’s in fine arts from JNTU Hyderabad though he opted not to pursue post graduation, he did masters in designing from IIT-Delhi. He has worked very hard to achieve success. He is proud of himself being a self-made man. He lived in the remote villages in Arunachal Pradesh, in an exclusive interview he told that he still remember living in Basineripalli , a place which had no power even having a gas stove was considered to be a luxury there. He remembers an incident from the annual village festival in which a buffalo was sacrificed, and its blood was mixed with rice and was distributed as a prasad.He did odd jobs like selling fruit ripening chemicals, painting signboards, delivering milk, working as a labour in battery manufacturing unit to earn the extra money.In the initial days after completing his graduation, he used to work as software and web designer to earn his living. He then joined yellow product and worked for the Amrutam TV Serial as an art director his first brush with film industry came as a poster designer. He then started working for Gunnam Gangaraju's private company. He made his debut as an art director for 'Aithe' in 2003.After some time he was introduced to Rajamouli-a famous director then he worked on Julayi with Trivikram Srinivas after making his mark he managed to work in game-changing films like Magadheera, Yamadonga, Morning raaga, Eega etc which grew his name as an art director. After getting so popular he started receiving offers from Bollywood in movies like Agent Vinod and Maniratnam's kadal, but he had to decline these both as he was busy with Rajanna.He was also offered Bahubali by Rajamouli, but he was unable to accept the offer as it demanded four years.He created history by becoming the first Telugu film technician to achieve success at international level for his work in 'Eega' he won the award at Brazil film festival. Recently he also won the Nandi award for the best art director. He is married to Sandhya who is a fashion designer. She started working in films much earlier as compared to Ravinder. She was the costume designer for Vasu and many other projects. She became a fashion designer after their marriage. He has received various awards which include the prize for the best technician at the Brazil film festival for his work in ‘Eega’ and The Nandi award for the best art director.


Prem Navas

Prem Navas is an Indian Art Director working in Tamil and Telugu industry. He has even worked in a French film, Dheepan. Prem Navas was born in Manamadurai, a municipality in Tamil Nadu, and is currently living in Chennai. He did middle schooling in R. C. St. Cecilia's Middle School and high school in O. V. C. Higher Secondary School in Manamadurai and for a college education joined Raja Durai Singam Government Arts College in Sivagangai in the year 2000. In 2014, Prem Navas was blessed with a son. He is the Art Director of few films like Ghatara (Telugu) and Idhu Namma Aalu (Tamil) in 2016, and Cheektati Rajyam (Telugu) and Thoongaa Vanam (Tamil) in 2015. He started his career as an Associate Art Director in the year 2011 for the Tamil movies Billa 2 and Nootrenbadhu. Prem Navas worked as an associate art director under the noteworthy art directors Sabu Cyril and his later student Selvakumar. His latest project is for a Hindi movie, The Body in the year 2018. He has also designed the posters and directed the trailers for movies Ghatara and Thoongaa Vanam. Prem Navas won an award for the category "Best Art Direction" for the movie Thoongaa Vanam in the Star views Film Awards in the year 2015. This Kamal Haasan starrer is said to take place entirely in the backdrops designed by Prem Navas. For his work in this movie, he got highly appreciated for the eye to detail and the mesmerizing artwork which mesmerized audience and critics alike. The audience also admired his designing for the film Idhu Namma Aalu for the trendy look. Palme d'Or is the most prestigious and high ranking award announced in the Cannes Film Festival, the International Film Festival. The versatile art director Prem Navas received this award for excellence in the French crime drama movie Dheepan directed by Jacques Audiard. He had to depict the post-war scenario in Sri Lanka, and the intensity of this experience haunted him. Being a perfectionist, he tried different materials and finally found a special rubber imported for Germany most suitable to model human bodies. This material helped in giving a more natural feel and did well with the special effects. The French Director Jacques Audiard was very impressed with the result of his work. Although the French crew could have taken this project themselves, they felt it would add some life to the set of people who sympathize with the Tamils created it. George Pius of "Wide Angle Creations" supported and motivated Prem Navas.
