Raman Vijayan [born on 4th June 1973] is a former Indian player. He used to play football and is working as an assistant coach for the Indian Super League club Chennaiyin FC. He is one of the top two players (especially Indian) who played in the old National Football League. He scored 10 goals during the 1997 to 1998 season. Raman began his professional career in football with East Bengal FC even before the National Football League began in 1996. He was the top scorer between 1997 and 1998 and scored nearly 10 goals. After playing for the NFL in Chennai, he began playing for Calcutta Football League. In March 2023, he was appointed as assistant coach of the first team for the Indian Super League (ISL) franchise Chennaiyin FC. Besides working as a football striker and assistant coach, he also worked for a film. The name of the film is Bigil, released in 2019. He played the role of commentator no. 3 in the film.
