In a critically acclaimed role, she also played the role of a sly seductress in Husbands in Goa, opposite Indrajith, Asif Ali and Jayasurya.
 
She has also featured in guest roles in HouseFull, and is now moving into Tamil roles as well, working in a presently-being-shot movie by cameraman Madhu Ambatt. She also has directorial experience, having directed the short movie Pacha, featuring a voice over by the actress Bhama and songs by the actress Ananya.
 
Affectionately called Ammu by her parents, Mohan & Uma, she has completed her schooling in GVHSS Ernakulam, her graduation from Maharajas College in Ernakulam in BA Literature, and is currently pursuing her Post Graduate Degree in Literature from Anna Malai University.

Sarayu is an Indian film actress and director who have predominantly worked in Malayalam film Industry. She was born on 10 July, 1989 at Tripunithura, Kerala. She is the only daughter of late Mohan and Chandarika. Her father hailed from Chottanikkara, a town in Ernakulum district while her mother hailed from Kannur district. Later, the family settled in Chottanikkara. She completed her schooling from Our Lady Convent School, Thoppumpady, Ernakulum. She studied there till her fourth grade.

For later education, she went to GVHSS, Ernakulum. She completed her BA Literature from Maharajas College, Ernakulum. She is currently completing her degree in Literature at Annamalai University. She got married to Sanal V. Devan on 12 November, 2016. While she was in school, she was a part of the NCC. She is also a tremendous dancer. She made her debut in the film industry as a lead role in the movie Kappal Muthalaali, which was released in 2009. Although, the film didn’t go well in theatres but her performance was admired and really appreciated by the audiences.

She made her debut in the film industry when she was offered a supportive role in the movie “Chakkra Muthu”, directed by A.K. Lohithadas. After that, she worked in “Veruthe Oru Bharya,” a Malayalam movie directed by K Gireesh Kumar. She also gave many notable roles in the movies such as Mounam, Sultan, Chekavar, Four Friends, Nizhal, Kanyakumari Express, and others. In 2011, she worked in Sahasram, a Malayalam movie directed by Dr. Janardhanan. She has always given remarkable performances, and grew respect in Malayalam Film Industry for being a good actress as well as a good human.

She has worked for various NGOs by donating aid to various organizations. In 2011, she worked in the Malayalam movie named Naayika, directed by Jayaraj. In this movie, she gave a notable performance. In 2012, she worked in many movies such as Orkut Oru Ormakot, Husbands in Goa, Nidra, Banking Hours 10 to 4, and many others. In 2013, she worked in a Tamil movie directed by M. Vineesh and M. Prabheesh. The name of the movie was Thee Kulikkum Pachai Maram.

Later in 2013, she directed a short film named “Pacha”. It was made in Malayalam language.
